Introducing dreamingofthecountry.com

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed my recent change in domain name – we are now dreamingofthecountry.com!

Back in 2007 I started blogging at dreamingofthecountry.wordpress.com but I soon got frustrated at the lack of freedom to design my page how I wanted, so in 2011 I moved over to blogger. Dreamingofthecountry was taken so vicarswifeintraining.blogspot.com was born.

Over the years I have debated changing my blog name completely to Vicars Wife in Training, or something that reflects the homemaking side of my blog but have always been unwilling to give up my original name. My wonderful readers know Dreaming of the Country and I didn’t want to start again from scratch with a whole new blog and readership.

I also think that God has a sense of humour because we are still ‘dreaming’ of the countryside. First we were sent to the big city, and now we’re heading off to an industrial town. We have countryside close enough, but we’re still dreaming of our rural idyll!

So, don’t forget – we are now dreamingofthecountry.com, although my other page will automatically re-direct you in your forget!

P.S The Mum and Dads Blog Awards (MADs) have opened for their 2014 nominations so make sure you check out their website and vote for your favourite blogs! If you have enjoyed Dreaming of the Country, maybe you would consider nominating me for the Best Blog Photography category? 1. Congrats on your domain name! I love it. I've always dreamt of the country and my dreams are coming true when I move to a farm with my family in a couple weeks!
