25 Weeks

How Far Along: Nearly 26 weeks. Only 2 more weeks until we're in the THIRD trimester!

Baby Size: Around 660g (the weight of an average swede!) and 35cm long. I've got a definate bump now but I'm the small side according to the midwife. The bump should measure 25cm at 25 weeks but it's okay to be anywhere from 23cm to 27cm, and I'm at 23cm!
I'm beginning to feel a lot more pregnant now though; I don't look as if I should struggle moving around but I feel much more cumbersome!
Maternity Clothes? Maternity trousers are a necessity. Still wearing some normal skirts and tops but most of them don't really fit well or look right. I got a nice summery top from a swap party last week which isn't maternity but looks good and fits well. It's nice to have some loose pretty tops for hotter days.
Sleep: Bizarrely I'm sleeping better now than I was a few weeks ago. I was waking up a few times in the night and was often unable to go back to sleep but at the moment I'm sleeping right through. I'm really busy at the moment, going to bed later and feeling a lot more tired so that's probably why. I'm not feeling very rested!
Miss Anything? Not really. It'd be nice to have a Pimms and Lemonade on summer evenings but it's only a few months.
Movement: Lots! I haven't really worked out much of a pattern yet although she does seem a lot more active if I sit quietly in the evenings. You can easily see the kicking through my clothes!
Food Cravings: Sweet things! I've always preferred savoury snacks but at the moment I want cake, chocolate and sweets which is interesting as they say that you tend to crave sweet things if you're having a girl. I am always ready for a Costa Double Chocolate Cooler with lots of cream!
Up until now I've been doing really well with my diet, eating healthily and having at least 7 or 8 fruits and veg a day but in the last couple of weeks I haven't been eating so well. I've fallen behind with my shopping and we've been really busy. I need to clean out my fridge and re-stock with some healthy options.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not really. I occasionally feel sick if I get really tired, but I used to get like that before pregnancy anyway. Mostly I've been feeling really well.
Gender: Girl! We have a name AND have managed not to tell anyone yet!
Belly button in or out? Still in...at the moment (and hoping it will stay that way!)
Wedding rings on or off? No change in hand size yet unless I get really hot, but that was a pre-pregnancy problem too.
Looking forward to:
Spending time with Josh away from Cardiff when we go to stay in the yurt and with friends in the Peak District. I feel like we're both a bit run down, tired and stressed at the moment and it'll be nice to have some time to chill out together and enjoy some countryside.
Sorting out the nursery and buying some furniture for it. We bought a pram/stroller and car seat last Saturday(!!!!). We only went to have a look around but saw there was quite a good deal and decided just to go for it... It was a bit of a major outlay so it's a bit scary and I'm paranoid to look at any websites now in case we see a different deal! I'm sure it was the right decision!

  1. You look really great. So pleased for you and Josh :)

  2. Oh my gosh, Pimms and Lemonade! I haven't had one of those in years. We don't have it here :( Glad to hear your pregnancy is going well.

  3. Can't wait to hear the name eventually! :) You look great! And you're so blessed that you're not nauseous!

  4. Aww your bump is too cute...all I Wear Now Are skirts and dressed!
