The Lake District and North Wales

This is going to get confusing because I’m all out on sync with my posting…but after we went to Devon, but before we went to Longleat we spent Easter weekend in the Lake District with Josh’s family and five days in North Wales with some university friends.

It was great seeing Josh’s parents, sister and brother-in-law and talking all things baby (they are super excited!). We went for a lovely walk on Saturday and on Easter Sunday we went to sunrise service followed by (an amazing cooked) breakfast followed by an Easter celebration at the house church that Josh’s parent’s attend.

After a gruelling bank-holiday-traffic jammed drive on Monday we eventually reached Abersoch in North Wales. You may remember we did the same trip with friends back in 2010 and in 2009 and it was great to catch up with some old friends from university who we haven’t seen for a while.

It was fun to see what everyone was up to ‘after university’ and I found it amusing to see how the quality of food had improved and how the bed-times were earlier now that none of us are students anymore!

Naomi and Malcolm did a FANTASTIC job of organising and hosting the week, and cooked up some delicious feasts. I didn’t bother taking any photos but you should go and check out some of the snaps on their website of our antics. They have started up their own wedding photography business and I’m very jealous of their new cameras! I really like this one they captured of Josh…
I’m sad to be back in the real world now with not excuse for not cooking or cleaning. That said I am totally procrastinating by writing this post…I must go and clean my bathroom! Classy.

  1. Hi, I've been way behind on my blog reading due to a bit of a change in my working environment (ie: less privacy to read blogs all day in the office!) so I've only just heard your news - congratulations!

PS: yes, you MUST visit the Wild Cafe next time you're in Bath! I want to live there!
