Hello from Cardiff!

Hello from Cardiff! I sit here on our new (to us) sofa, surrounded by piles of boxes still to be unpacked.
Firstly, thanks so much to everyone who prayed for us yesterday, wished us well and also those that helped us out practically (I know a few of you read this!). We could definitely tell that people were praying because the whole day went soooo smoothly.
There were so many parts of the day that were still up in the air at 7.30am, but everything worked out just right.
The whole moving out process only took three hours, including collecting the van, saying goodbye and generally faffing about. We had lots of help which just made things so easy.
Two of our friends came down to Cardiff with us to help with unloading at this end. The only minor stress was when we tried to get the sofa in and we couldn’t get it through the doors, but I left it to the boys and they managed it eventually.
I felt pretty weird when we waved our friends off at the end of the day. We’ve been aiming for this day for so long that it was surreal that we were actually living it and having to say goodbye to our friends in Aberystwyth.
Today’s been a good day though. We’ve been unpacking and did an Ikea trip this afternoon. We’ve bought all the furniture we’ll need now which is very exciting; it’ll be delivered on Thursday. Eeeek!
We got COMPLETELY lost on the way home though…did about a forty minute detour! Was a bit stressful.
Anyway, there are so many things that I love about our new house. I’ll try and post some pictures tomorrow. Stay tuned!

  1. May your house be a place of love, hospitality and peace. May God bless your house and bless your lives.
    Exciting times ahead!
    Much love to you both

  2. Looks like you're getting to know the roads around your home already :) I hope the unpacking goes swiftly for you. If you leave a box to be unpacked "later", it may still be sitting there 3 years from now. Trust me. Good luck to you!!
