Long Weekend Ramblings

Evening friends. I hope you have all had a wonderful long weekend?
On Saturday Josh and I went to Cardiff to a thanksgiving/dedication service which was really lovely. I was good to see friends and see a bit more of Cardiff.
I’m feeling more and more confident about our move down there. We went to a really nice park near to Llandaff, and also to what will be our local coffee shop which was great! {amazing cake!} If we just continue to focus on the positives I think the move will be okay.

Today, Josh was working so I went to Ynys-Hir with some lovely friends to stalk the celebrities to see some wildlife. It was absolutely crammed with people who had had the same idea as us, and also LOTS of over-enthusiastic volunteers who had obviously been drafted in to cope with the Spring Watch mania.

We didn’t see any celebrities but it was a lovely day anyway. We did manage to get close to the studio and I got this sneaky photo before being told to move on!

I just watched the first episode and it was exciting to see all the places we visit all the time. It’s also frustrating to know that all that wildlife is there {Barn Owls particularly!} but we so rarely see it!
Anyway, I’m rambling so I must go to bed. You can check out some of the Spring Watch webcams here.
Night night.

  1. Yay! Springwatch! Thank you so much for following my blog :D

Your muffin recipe looks amazing, and I'm impressed by your husband's pie-making skills! My fella's American so his pie skills are more cherry-based, but I shan't complain!

  3. Cake makes it all better! I'm glad the move is becoming not so scary for you. I can't wait to hear all of your adventures. Cute pictures. For some reason, my family (husband and son) love squirrels. I'll have to share this one with them.

  4. It looks like you had a really good weekend. Mine was quite good, although I realised Saturday evening that I hadn't left the house all day.

  6. I was working the breakfast shift at the hotel earlier this week and there were spring watch people there talking about the celebrities... I believe they only arrive when they are shooting. They were there on Tuesday.
