All you Need is LOVE Challenge Day 6

Today’s topic is…

I {LOVE} to blog because....

1) It makes it much easier for friends and family to keep up-to-date with our antics and to see our photos. Personal snail-mail and emails are always nicer, but blogging means we can reach a wider audience with those little things you might forget to send in a weekly email. It’s also easier to share recipes and ideas.

2) It’s good to use as an online journal. Regular readers will know that I sometime disappear off the blogging scene for a few weeks at a time when life gets hectic. I only ended up blogging for around six months of the year in 2010 and I was sad when it came to the end of it because I often couldn’t remember what we’d been up to. This year one of my unofficial resolutions has been to try to blog regularly on everything from God to recipes. I want to be able to look back and see how I’ve grown throughout the year.

3) I’ve made lots of bloggy friends. Before I started blogging I used to think that making friends on the internet was a bit weird and nerdy…but I guess now I have become the nerdy one! Over the last three years of blogging I have ‘met’ lots of wonderful people and have come to realise that just because people can’t meet in real life doesn’t mean they don’t have lots in common! More recently I’ve loved doing the Blog Bible Study and sharing inspiration from the bible with people across the globe, and of course being part of the All you need is love swap challenge…

…Infact, today I my swap package from Courtney arrived in the post!

All the way from Budapest!

I got some beautiful flowers…

 …lots of yummy treats…

…this AMAZING necklace. Seriously, I love this so much!

… and some bracelets and hair clips, which went straight into my hair after this photo was taken! [have been wanting some like this for ages but couldn’t get them because of my new years resolution!]

THANK YOU SO MUCH Courtney!

  1. YAY!

SO glad it made it! I hope you got my tweet too! Mail getting into Hungary is a pain - we don't have mail on the weekends - and they tend to be really slow. Hopefully yours will be here Monday - I am SO excited! Seriously - cannot wait!

I'm so glad you loved all the things! I knew the necklace & hair clips would be a hit - I almost went back and got some for myself too!! :)

I am SO glad we got paired up! I have loved getting to "know" you through this swap and challenge! :)

  2. I SO agree -- I totally thought online friendships were odd, and kind of risky. But now, I have more online friends than I do in real life, lol!
