Ask Josh Anything - the answers!

Hey all! Thank you for all your questions I’ll try and answer them as best I can. So…here are the answers to all the inner workings of my mind..

Do you have a blog of your own?
No I don’t. I’ve started a couple but they’ve got beyond about two or three posts, I’m afraid I lack the commitment to keep updating.

What do you do with your days?
Well…I work in a care home for people with learning disabilities with ages ranging from mid 20’s to early 60’s. It’s mostly early mornings, evenings and some nightshifts. When I’m not working I play a lot of guitar (bass, acoustic and electric) do lots of walking and hang out a lot with friends.

What is your favourite meal?
Erm...probably a cheesey/tomatoey/sphagettiey thing that my dad makes called (rather bizarrely) Neapolitan celery. The reasons for its name are completely unknown but it’s nice anyway! And it would have to be followed by trifle.

What are your best traits? What’s your worst?
My best traits are my personality and my looks! My worst traits are hating bad grammar and spelling, biting my nails, eating too much cereal and laziness.

Rach’s best traits are her eyes and the way she makes me giggle. Her worst traits are being a control freak and also turning into a fire breathing crazy ogre monster thing whenever she has to drive a car.

What do you like most about Rachel?
Well..see above. And..well..what’s not to like?

Rachel dreams of the country, what do you dream of?
I dream of being a vicar with a country parish and keeping a few goats on the vicarage lawn. And I dream that we will see a welsh revival like that of 1904/05 within my lifetime. I also dream that I could be eating a bowl of cereal right now.

What’s the neatest place you’ve ever visited?
Well in the British sense of the word I think probably Hannah and Reuben King's house, they keep it pretty neat and tidy. In the American sense of the word... I haven’t really travelled much, but Norway is an absolutely incredible country, but nothing beats Aberystwyth sea front or Devon country lanes on a summers evening.

Who is your favourite author?
I don’t like reading fiction so I don’t really have a favourite author. I guess I would probably have to say Robert Goddard who writes thrillers or a classic old theologian/preacher like Wesley, C.S.Lewis, or Henry Ward-Beecher.

What kind of music do you like?
I really like anything with a decent rhythm so I love blues and jazz especially some of the older jazz stuff and swing music. And I love classic rock, led zep, journey, AC/DC etc. But there’s no music that I can’t stand.

What is so fascinating about the other side of that oven mitt?
Nothing really, we were just having a chat - the pig makes more intellectual and stimulating conversation than Rachel.

What do you want for your birthday?
Hi mum. (and anyone else who fancies sending a spontaneous gift to the beloved husband of Mrs “dreaming of the country”). I would really like money to pay for a bass amp, a Wales long sleeved rugby shirt, a Devon rugby shirt, blues CD’s  or a ukulele. Diolch yn fawr iawn I chi.

Where do you picture yourself in 10yrs time?
I would really like to be sat in a wing back chair with  my feet up watching the kids play in the garden whilst Rachel is doing all the housework for me! I really hope and pray that in 10yrs I will be preaching the gospel in welsh to young farmers clubs and congregations across the country.

And for Keith…my mother in law really is top banana!
